Before emailing us why not take a look at the answers to the most commonly asked questions we get at Friends Express and maybe your query can be answered immediately.
If you can't find the answer here then please email us at help@friendsexpress.co.uk and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. REGISTRATION PROCESS LOGGING IN/OUT
SCHOOL RELATED Does it cost to become a member? Not a penny! Unlike many other reunion sites it is free to use Friends Express and list yourself under any school on our site so that other members can get in contact. You can also send messages to anyone listed in our directories and also view information on other members as well as messages posted to our message boards. On the home page click on the 'Register Now' link, then search for the school you went to and fill in all the relevant details. You should only need to ever register once. If you want you can change the details you gave on registration at a later date. We currently have more than 31,000 schools in our database and are adding more every day. Schools are located underneath the region of their Local Education Authority - if you don't find your school where you'd expect it to be under, please check other regions. Many schools change locations or even names over the years. If you still cannot find your school then perhaps nobody has yet asked for it to be listed. To request that your school is added click here. I want to list myself under more than one school/college. How should I register? Initially only register under a single school. After you've completed your registration, you can add yourself to other schools using the 'Search' link after you have logged in. Can I use the same email address for different members? No, each member must register with a different email address. Why do you need to have my email address? The main reason is so that your old school friends can contact you through our site. Your privacy is very important to us and we do not publish your email address on the site at any time. When people contact you through the site they send their message through Friends Express so they do not get access to your email address until you choose to reply. Why do I get an error message such as 'Access Denied' when I try to sign in? This could be for the simple reason that your login name/password combination has been entered incorrectly. Please note that your login name and password are case sensitive. How do I sign out? What if I'm using a shared computer? To sign out, click on the 'sign out' link in the top right of any page. If you are using a publicly accessible computer (such as in a library or an internet cafe), we highly recommend that you use the sign out function after every visit otherwise your details could be available to other people. How do I view members under one of my old schools? After logging in select the school or college you wish to view listed under 'Your Schools'. You'll be automatically taken to the list of everyone registered under that school. How do I browse the database of all the schools? After logging in click on any of the links in the top menu bar alongside 'Find Friends From' and from there you can locate any school by its geographic location. How do I view information on a member? Simply click on that members name under the school which they are listed. You'll be taken to that member's profile page showing the members full name, their nickname in school and information about what they are doing now. How do I add my name to more than one school? Friends Express enables you to add your details under as many schools as you wish. If you want to add yourself to more than one school then after registering and signing in, click on one of either the primary schools, secondary schools, college or university links in the top menu bar alongside 'Find Friends From' and you'll be taken through the process. Don't forget you will be able to edit all your details at a later date if you wish to do so. Why am I the only member listed for my old school? Friends Express is still a relatively small site although many people are becoming new members every day so it's only a matter of time until one of your old friends lists their details under your school! |
